German Researched: Wedo receives the seal “Innovative through Research”
The successful production of our wicks and technical braids is based on decades of continuous research and development. Even today, long after our beginnings, we carry out more research than ever before in the most diverse areas.
For this reason, the Stifterverband Bildung, Wissenschaft, Innovation (German Sponsors Association for Education, Science and Innovation) recently awarded us the research seal of approval “Innovative through Research” – a very special honour.
For six years now, the Association has been awarding its seal to research-driven companies that take part in the biennial full survey on research and development in the German economy.
Wedo has received this seal because we engage in research in many areas, e.g. via ZIM projects (a programme initiated by the German government to promote innovation in medium sized companies) in co-operation with universities and research institutes. This also includes investments in personnel (e.g. for laboratories) as well as in equipment which enable us to carry out further research and development activities.
